Compassion - A Powerful Doorway to Personal Growth

What if there was one choice you could make that would change everything in your life for the better? Actually, there is. Its the choice to move out of judgment and into compassion for yourself and others.

Compassion is defined as a deep caring for the pain of others, often accompanied by a desire to help. There is nothing that feels more wonderful and comforting than experiencing anothers compassionate response to our painful feelings and experiences.

However, its interesting that compassion is never defined in terms of oneself. Yet, compassion is one of the greatest gifts we can give to ourselves. In fact, when we give compassion to others but not to ourselves, we often end up feeling alone, worn out, and uncared for.

Jackie is a good example of a person who has compassion for others but not for herself. She is a very caring mother and wife. She listens compassionately to her husbands work problems and does all she can to help him, even when she is having her own work problems. She is always there for her children, helping them with whatever problems arise, as well as for her co-workers. Everyone sees Jackie as a very loving person and she is. So why is she often unhappy? Why is she often so fatigued and depleted? The problem is that Jackie is completely out of touch with her own feelings.

Jackie is so focused on meeting everyone elses needs that she never tunes into herself and her own feelings and needs. She doesnt know when she is tired or when she needs time for herself. She doesnt know when she is feeling sad, lonely, or anxious. Because she has no compassion for herself, she finds herself using food to fill the inner emptiness that is the result of not taking loving care of herself.

Richard, on the other hand, lacks compassion for both himself and others. While it may seem as if he has compassion for himself, he also is not tuned into his own feelings. It seems like Richard has compassion for himself because he does what he wants buys what he wants, goes after what he wants, spends time the way he wants. But his choices are coming from his fears and his addictive need to fill up from outside with things and approval rather than from love and compassion for himself. In addition, he is usually unconscious regarding the effect his behavior has on others. He keeps people waiting, doesnt do what he says he is going to do, and becomes judgmental rather than compassionate in the face of anothers difficulties. Instead of caring when his wife is tired or needs help, he gets resistant and resentful that she isnt there for him or is asking something of him.

A lack of compassion for oneself and others is a major cause of inner and relationship unhappiness. In terms of personal growth, if you were to just focus on making compassion your highest priority both for yourself and for others you would find yourself progressing toward happiness, peace and joy more rapidly than you can imagine.

We move into compassion for ourselves when we know that we have very good reasons for our feelings and behavior, and into compassion for others when we know that others also have very good reasons for their feelings and behavior. These good reasons are the fears and false beliefs that we have absorbed from our growing up years that create our painful feelings and our defensive behavior.

Moving into compassion is a process that takes time and practice:

1. Moving into compassion for yourself starts with noticing your self-judgment. Judgment is the opposite of compassion. When you judge yourself, you are telling yourself that you are wrong or bad for your feelings or behavior, rather than that you have good reasons. Each time you realize that you are judging yourself, consciously open your heart to compassion for yourself. When your intention is to be compassionate rather than judgmental, you will discover that it is not as hard as you think to shift from judgment to compassion.

2. Moving into compassion for others is similar. Begin to notice your anger, irritation, judgment, resentment, or resistance toward others. These negative feelings are the opposite of compassion. Once you notice these feelings, you have the choice to open to caring, understanding to compassion.

3. Each time you find yourself in judgment for yourself or others, instead of judging yourself for judging, move into compassion for the judgmental part of you. If you judge yourself for judging yourself or others, you will stay stuck. If you embrace with compassion the judgmental part of yourself, you will find yourself gradually becoming less judgmental and more compassionate.

Each time you are compassionate with yourself and others, it becomes easier next time. You will discover that focusing on compassion for both yourself and others will move you toward the peace and joy you are seeking. It all comes from your intent to protect against pain with your controlling behaviors, such as anger, blame and judgment, or to learn about loving yourself and others. When your deepest desire is to become a loving human being, opening to compassion is a powerful doorway to that path.

Motivating Others - The Secret!

Can you really motivate others? In a word: NO!

I know that sounds weird coming from someone who makes a living in the business of motivation and engagement in the workplace; but I'm not going to waste your time with lies, platitudes, useless slogans and metaphysical crap. The fact is there is no secret when it comes to motivating others. You can provide external motivation, inspiration and incentive but ultimately all effective motivation is internal. If you want to motivate others you need to employ some simple protocols that are too often ignored by organization leaders:

  • Find out what personally motivates each individual on your team.
  • Empower people with the resources and opportunities that support each person's vision of success & happiness.
  • Make sure everyone knows how important his or her role is in the success of the organization.
  • Hold each person accountable for his or her role in personal and organizational success.

One more thing: Get rid of anyone who will not accept personal responsibility for his or her own success and happiness!

I define power as your ability or capacity to act or perform effectively. Give everyone in your organization the opportunity to perform effectively and the organization becomes more powerful. Simple, not easy!

Too often power is confused with control. Power is not control; control is an imposition of will. Power is effectiveness and a person is most effective when he knows his work is generating personal success and happiness.

But...some managers say it's impossible to know the individual needs of everyone in an organization. Divide and conquer! External motivation is a process of effective coaching and mentoring and that's best done on a small scale. You can manage the scale in two way.

  • Delegate closer contact to smaller groups. Hold each management level accountable for knowing what motivates his or her immediate team.
  • Make some time for nearly everyone you want to motivate. A little meaningful contact makes a large impression.

I'm not advocating an uncontrollable system of appeasement where everyone gets everything he thinks he's entitled to. Control should not be confused with power, but control is necessary to some degree at every level of an organization. Every individual is, however, entitled to at least one thing and that one thing is opportunity. A motivated person who doesn't see opportunity in your organization is going someplace else; you don't want to lose self-motivated people!

An effective organization understands the motivational drives of its people and strives to provide the opportunity for the individual to satisfy his or her drive for success. That drive converts directly to productivity and profit.

  • Understand what motivates individuals in your organization.
  • Establish effective coaching and mentoring that supports individual success.
  • Provide opportunity for individual development and success.
  • Hold individuals accountable for supporting organizational success.

You may not be able to motivate others, at least not on an internal level. You can provide external motivation based on the needs of the individuals on your team. Make sure external motivation is in synergy with those needs and the mission of the organization. Be a motivational example for others and you've got real power!

Qualities That You Need to Achieve Your Goals

We all have our own heroes; people that we admire, ones who achieved something significant despite all the odds stacked against them. For some reasons, we feel attracted to their lives, what they did exactly to achieve their goals, what kind of character they have, what is their driving force in life. We are attracted to all the articles about them, all the books written by them or about them in search of the answers.

If you are not a kind of person who reads everything about any celebrity you might be wondering why you are so attached to these people. People who are attracted to us or who we feel to be attracted to usually show us our own negative aspects that we need to get rid of or positive traits that we need to develop to realize our full potential.

You are attracted to particular people; you admire them because they possess the qualities you need to develop to be able to live the life of your dreams.

Write down the names of five to ten people you admire. What traits do they have that attract you?
Prepare a list of at least five traits for each of them. Do they have some traits in common? What are they? Write them down. These are the traits that you need to develop yourself.

Prepare a plan how you will show the new qualities in your daily life. What habits do you need to develop to support the new you? Reinforce these new habits daily. In about two months your new habits will become automatic and will steer your life into a new direction, direction of your dreams.

The Roller Coaster of Life

As Summer winds down, look around. You're still on the roller coaster. Nine months have gone by since you strapped in for this year's ride. Can you look over your shoulder and still see the person who took your ticket and told you to 'keep your hands inside the car at all times'? By this I mean: has your train barely pulled away from the station? Did you begin the year with great intentions and never really make much progress toward them?

Or have you already taken so much action (clicks) toward this year's goals that you have climbed the big hill and are already enjoying the ride?

If so...feels great, doesn't it?

If not, there is still time.

Here are a few action ideas:

1) Dig back to last January and revisit your intended goals for the year
2) Evaluate your progress (or lack thereof) thus far
3) Re-dedicate yourself to TAKING ACTION toward them

One little decision or action, every day, can make all the difference in the world and bring you ever-closer to your desired outcome.

There is no need to be discouraged if you have not yet enjoyed the ride you dreamed of. Expanding beyond one's current comfort-level can be a daunting task, even with the best of intentions. Thinking outside the box can be a challenge. Actually 'living' outside the box can be downright death-defying for some!

The journey starts with just one step. Start small, just nudge your boundaries. Little successes can give you the confidence you need to climb into that roller coaster for a bigger, better ride.

There are 3 months left the year...plenty of time to click, click, click your way up that hill.

Believe me; the view is much better from the top, especially in the moment just before that last click sends you on a wild, exciting rewarding ride!

And once you've ridden this one all the way 'round, you'll want to get back on over and over again.

Religious Faith Or Religious Facts

If you're a religious follower and believe in your religion, I would like to ask you a question. Do you base religious beliefs on facts or faith? Let's start out with this and assume that you answered, that you do base your religious beliefs on faith, with little factual information to back it up.

Basing your religious beliefs on faith alone can lead you to believe, what ever someone else tells you. For example, if you go to your place of worship and the religious leader reads something from your scriptures to the followers, do you assume that this is a fact. Are you going to do a little research if something doesn't sound right. If everyone else shares a common opinion about something in your religion, but it isn't true, wouldn't you like to know about it or are you one of those people who didn't even listen and really doesn't even want to be at your place of worship.

Faith can create a lot of problems all by itself. Whenever you start digging into most religions, like I have, and mind you, I'm no expert and do not claim to be an expert in religious beliefs. I'm trying to get people to learn about their religion. This information can be obtained from your religious scriptures, books on other religions, information on the Internet and last but not least talking to other people, outside and within your religion.

Religious facts are hard to come by, when you're beliefs are unrealistic. I can't explain the creation of the world or what year it will be destroyed, but it does seem a little unrealistic and hard to believe that a superior entity created this world and possibly the universe. At the same time I cannot argue with this or disprove it.

With this in mind, I wouldn't go around telling everyone that God or a God created the universe. I just don't have any proof and it's as simple as that. Why would I want to instill this belief into my children or another person? No one on earth has this information.

Try not to base your life on religious faith alone. Just the simple fact that you are reading this article, tells me that you have an interest in furthering your education about religion, whether it's yours or someone else's. You might not be able to find all of the facts to support your religious beliefs but at least it's a start and you're heading in the right direction.

The God of War Or Peace - Helping With Bible Problems

Here's two verses I found in the Bible that seem to contradict themselves but I'm sure that with a little creativity and manipulation, a good minister or religious scholar, could make some sense out of it.

Exodus 15:3 (New International Version) The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is his name.

Romans 15:33 (New International Version) The God of peace be with you all. Amen.

The Lord is a warrior does not mean that he fights or kills, does it. According to the Old Testament, God killed plenty of people and even took out an entire city one time, flooded the earth to get rid of the evil and of course who could forget, that once we get into the New Testament, God killed his only begotten son Jesus. I don't know if I would really want this guy as my father.

It seems like he has a pretty bad temper on him but is extremely loving, caring and understanding. Are you confused yet, I am. Maybe I shouldn't be throwing the word I am around.

The God of peace states that he is a loving and understanding leader. This makes more sense to me because he did create the earth and everything around it. If I was for example, building a home to create a nice peaceful place to live, I wouldn't be thinking about destroing what I created. I would be thinking more along the lines of how I could take care of this creation.

It makes more sense to me that God would be peaceful but sometimes in order to have peace, we need to be a warrior. If God would have created us to be more compassionate, gave us plenty of food to eat, plenty of homes to live in, removed our sinful nature and of course who could forget, give us a purpose in life that is clearly understandable, I wouldn't see a need for warriors.

Maybe the God of peace is different than the Lord is a warrior. Thinking is a good thing, put your thinking caps on and start reading some of the Bible with an open mind.

Understanding Faithful Followers

The Greek Deity Known as Hestia

When one thinks to Greek Deities, Hestia, probably does not come to mind. Less dramatic than others, she still played an important role in Greek culture.

The Greek Deity Known as Hestia

In ancient Greece, fourteen Olympians made up the pantheon of gods that were worshiped by the Greeks. While some of these deities are extremely well-known today, such as Zeus, Aphrodite and Athena, others are less familiar. These gods, while not in the forefront of Greek mythology, still played a major part in the lives of the ancient Greeks. One of these is Hestia, the first and last born daughter of the Titan Chronos.

In pre-Olympic mythology, the story is told of how the Titans Chronos and Rhea had twelve children, destined to be the first twelve gods of Mount Olympus. Chronos was upset by the birth of his offspring, so he swallowed all of them except for the youngest, Zeus. Hestia was the first born of Chronos, therefore she was the first swallowed. After Zeus led a war against the Titans and won, Chronos was forced to disgorge his offspring, and Hestia, being swallowed first, came out last. In this way, she was both the first and last born daughter of Chronos.

Hestia is seen as the deity of the hearth, and of order and family. She was depicted as being virginal, and her name actually means home and hearth. The town hall (prytaneum) of every town had a public hearth, at which sacrifices and dedications were made to Hestia. It also was her official sanctuary. When a new village or colony was established, a flame from one of the existing hearths of Hestia was carried to that new place, and she was later seen as the governing power over the connection between colonies and mother cities.

While not the most active or strongest of the Greek pantheon, Hestia was worshiped in every house. Her altar was seen as being located in every home and public hearth, and she was also regarded as a model of virginity and chastity.

Pride Can Often Create Problems in Religion

Have you ever talked to someone about their religious beliefs, only to find out that they are very stubborn, they only want to talk about their beliefs and do not want to listen to your opinion at all. I have met plenty of people that fall into this category and rarely do I run into someone with an open mind about their religious beliefs. These people often try to make you feel stupid and don't realize, that they are the ones who are actually ignorant.

Pride can often create problems in religion and only later when you see the truth can you really understand how stubborn you were. The problem with these people, is that once they find the truth, it's another lie and they seem to push these beliefs on to others. Often these people can be very aggressive and it almost seems like they need to make up for lost time, since they were wrong about their last religion.

Psalm 10:4 In his pride the wicked does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God.

It seems like pride has often got man into trouble and rarely gotten him out of it. Pride can often start wars but only after defeat or education can they be ended. While some people go around town shoving religion down your throat in the name of God, others are ignoring the information completely. The problems in religion resulting from someone's pride have created too many problems throughout history and need to be stopped. Turn your prideful thinking into a compassionate mind.

The next time you meet someone on the street or in a store and they look different or have different beliefs, humble yourself and be kind to them. Show a little compassion instead of pride. Maybe, just maybe you could even make friends with these people and learn something about their beliefs. Often you will find that their religious beliefs are not that much different than yours and this could get you thinking and rethinking about your religion.

The Relevance of Angel Tattoo Designs

"Angel" in Hebrew is mal'ak meaning messenger of God. They are the unseen in the "all that is, seen and unseen" which god created. They exist to praise god and to bear his message of love to all. They have their own identity and they appear to people of all religions, and even to those of no religion at all, when God wants them to listen. People of varied cultures and religions be it Christian, Jewish, Mormon, or Moslem insist that angels have another task and that is of being a guardian for specific people. Spiritual people believe angels are real, and sometimes experience their presence.

Since angels are seen as divine creations of god Angel tattoo designs are considered as a protective screen or a guiding light. In the human beings struggle of the good winning over the evil the guidance of angels is much sought after. It is also symbolizes the path of good deeds and the path of love.

In the world of tattoo art angel tattoo designs are depicted in the form of babies with wings or young and pretty girls with white dresses and wings sitting on a cloud or flying with a wand. These are very popular and pleasing to the eyes. There are also designs where the angel is seen sitting with a harp or holding a trumpet. Some art designs like the angel with a sword or a dagger is considered quite negative.

Its are quite popular especially amongst the more spiritually inclined people and the web sites for angel tattoo designs are very often browsed as compared to other common designs like flowers and dragons etc.

Angel tattoo design is most suitable for lower back tattoos , find out more at coolest tattoo blog.

The Truth About Options for Yoga Teachers; Part 2

At the very least, a Yoga teacher should have knowledge of the latest trends in Yoga classes, and the latest continuing education options for Yoga teachers. If something does appeal to you, there are many different continuing education options available for Yoga teachers. There are a number of workshops, seminars, and camps around the world for interns and established Yoga teachers.

If you already have a running Yoga studio, children, or responsibilities at home, onsite Yoga teacher training may not always be the best option. You may want to consider Yoga distance learning, also known as Yoga Home Study, as a viable option. This is a recognized form of continuing education for Yoga instructors by most of the certifying bodies.

Due to time constraints, family commitments, and working a full time job -Yoga teachers often find Yoga teacher training correspondence courses to be a convenient way to expand on their existing knowledge of Yoga.

Now, lets take a close look at options for specialization in the Yoga teaching profession.

Hot Yoga: Obviously this is self-explanatory and requires a tolerance to heat - in the neighborhood of 105 degrees Fahrenheit. Most Hot Yoga classes are based upon Bikram Choudhurys style of Hatha Yoga.

However, it is extremely unwise to copy his exact sequence of postures, as they are patented. Regardless of whether you think it is right or wrong to patent a Yoga sequence, who wants to go to court over it? It never ceases to amaze Yoga teachers when they hear about the potential to be sued. In order to by- pass this dilemma, teaching a Hot Yoga class can be accomplished without a legal battle.

What I see most Hot Yoga teachers do is somewhat similar to Bikrams style, but you may also see Sun Salutations and a variety of postures that are not seen in most Bikram studios. Hot Yoga classes are popular for all ages. There are a surprising number of Yoga students who are beyond middle age in these Yoga classes.

Some people love the heat, while others simply cannot adapt to these temperatures. Therefore, if you want to become a Hot Yoga instructor, make sure that you are up to the task of leading a Yoga class under these temperature conditions. It is one thing to take a Hot Yoga class, but it is quite a different experience to actually teach one.

Entrepreneur Mindset

I would like to begin the task of breaking down the barriers that hinder our own success. We have all been thought the basics of life and what it takes to succeed in the world. Unfortunately for most of us that meant this basic mentality: we grow up, we acquire our first job and focus on moving up within that company and or changing employers to better our income along the way using and applying the skills we have learned. This is what I consider to be the first barrier, one must overcome this as well as other instinctive (first response) barriers in order to achieve the success they desire.

This mentality is not necessarily a bad thing, for some they are quite happy to go through life being an employee. For others they follow the same path but are not as satisfied with the outcome. These are the individuals that always dreamed of something more but never acted on their true feelings. This also spans back to the first barrier mentioned in the beginning of the article. To achieve independent success one must travel outside their individual comfort zone and break free of some instinctive barriers we learn growing up. We all have a bad habit of becoming complacent when it comes to employment, we get to comfortable, we get use to that regular pay check and the thought of change also brings out the fear of failure. This is the comfort zone that is difficult to break free of.

Along the way we dont stop to consider the possibilities we can create for ourselves. Today the cost of opening a small home based business is extremely modest in comparison to years past. The financial risks have also been decreased significantly. The cost of a franchise for instance in most cases is a make or break situation for the average person. Lets face it who has that kind of money to risk and frankly I never liked the idea of having all my eggs in one basket. The internet has revolutionized the entire work at home industry, it commands a global reach to its users. Global reach means global sales opportunities for anyone willing to learn and put fourth the effort. Owning an internet business is really no different than a brick & mortar business except when it comes to the area in witch it can service. There are millions of internet users world wide (if youre reading this your one of them) it makes you no different than me or your neighbor down the street or the man or women in the next state or country. The fact is that the potential is absolutely huge and will only continue to increase as the next generation grows up never knowing a world without the internet.

When I first started out I was not by any means a computer genus nor do I make that claim now, all I had was a dream to work at home, gain financial independence and spend that ever so precious quality time with my family. Prior to my first child I was caught where many of you are now. I was working a 70-80 hour work week as a manager of an automotive dealership. The money was good and a sparkling new car in the driveway was nothing to complain about. I struggled with the idea of letting it all go to try making it on my own. I quit my job and walked out with only a dream and a willingness to learn. In retrospect I would highly recommend getting your business off the ground prior to leaving your current job. I did experience the good the bad and the ugly when I first started out, but what business owner wouldnt have a story or two to tell. There is certainly plenty of quality information and courses available on the internet today, the trick is finding something that interests you.

Always remember if you enjoy what you do you will never work a day in your life. I hope, if nothing else this article will encourage you to re-evaluate your current situation and help you start down the path of unlocking your true potential. The best of luck with all your future endeavors.

Is it Ok For Christians to Make Millions on the Internet - Watch Your Mouth

I've been reading a newly published, spiritually inspiring book written by a Cajun TV minister. His name is Jesse Duplantis and his book is titled, 'The Everyday Visionary - Focus Your Thoughts, Change Your Life'. Jesse has always inspired me to be an even better Christian and to have more trust and faith in the Word of God. I have followed Jesse's teachings for years. He is humorous, down to earth and very serious with his belief in Jesus Christ. I'll give you my version of Jesse's book to Christians.

Mental mapping your destiny is Jesse's primary key point. Another key is...watch what comes out of your mouth. The book of Proverbs has been called the book of wisdom. You can read about the many ways to have wisdom and not be a fool. Wisdom is better; it is because fools do not enjoy the fullness of their destiny and prosperity.

To be wise we must watch what we say. God's word says we can speak life or death out of our mouth. A man will speak what is in his heart and on his mind. Be aware of the words you are speaking. Always be wise and speak positively about your dreams, ideas and concepts that have the potential of becoming mental maps on the road of destiny. Basically you have what you say! Negative words destroy; positive words create. A personal example: I hear folks say all of the time, I have to do this instead of I get to do this. The latter message will lift a person and give power to accomplish. Each phrase denotes a completely different mind set.

Jesse states, "You can either tear yourself down or build yourself up. It's entirely up to you. So choose to speak faith". The opposite of faith is fear. Faith builds and is positive; fear destroys and is negative. He says, "Determined thoughts should lead to determined words". So speak to your future as if it is something tangible...and eventually it will become tangible. Speak to your prosperity and you will become prosperous. Watch the positive that comes out of your mouth and your prosperous future will leap forward.

The Word of God says that, 'You are snared by the words of your mouth', Proverbs 6:2. Set yourself free by speaking positive words. How does all of this relate to, Is it OK for Christians to Make Millions on the Internet? Christians can and must speak a prosperous message about their future with faith. Yes, it is OK for Christians to prosper financially.

I will stop here and evaluate what comes out of my mouth. Am I speaking positive words?

A little bit about me. I am a 76-year old, Christian that believes and practices the Word of God. I have always had a Big Dream but held back because of the belief that it was not OK. My name is Richard Bassett. http://www.moneyanyone.com

12 Apostles Of Jesus Christ

Spirits of Light

Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices" (II Cor. 2:11).

Scripture has made it perfectly clear that the Devil masquerades as "light" and/or an "angel of light." In Latin, the name "Lucifer" means "light-bearer." II Corinthians 11:14 says, "And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light." Therefore, any experience with spiritual "light" must be thoroughly examined under the microscope of the One True Light, The Word of God.

"Light," it seems, has always been used as a metaphor for heightened, perhaps even spiritual, experiences and/or understandings. Often we hear people speak of being "enlightened." Some believed to possess spiritual empowerment have been called "illuminated."

Traditionally, even artists have depicted both religious and secular leaders, heroes, and great thinkers shining with brilliant light, perhaps even beneath a halo. Now the problem we encounter here is that such inspiration is usually viewed in a positive manner. It is hard to call evil what we normally associate with good. Nevertheless, the Bible bids us to "believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God" (I Jn. 4:1). It seems that throughout history many have encountered spirits of "light," but failed to recognize their source. In fact, many who claim to have found "light," believe they started with the best of intentions. They believed their search for light was search for truth. For instance, Freemasons claim to be searching for "light," hence, the symbolic use of the blindfold in many of their rituals. But, Truth cannot be found outside of the Word of God. An attempt to discover "light" or "truth" apart from it actually demonstrates a lack of faith in the Truth. The Lord has made it clear that seeking Truth means seeking Him. He alone is the Light! "He reveals the deep and secret things: He knows what is in the darkness, and the Light dwells with Him" (Dan. 2:22). "But without Faith it is impossible to please Him: for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them who diligently seek Him" (Heb. 11:6).

FALSE LIGHT

Many false prophets and cult leaders claim to have received revelation knowledge from "angels of light," and usually these revelations became the foundation for their perilous societies. Muhammad claimed that the Angel Gabriel came to him. He explained that, "a luminous being grasped him by the throat and commanded him to repeat the sacred word."20 Another "angel of light" named "Moroni" visited the founder of Mormonism, Joseph Smith, who was already a "romancer and diviner" (familiar with occult communication). Smith said his angel led him to a set of golden plates which he translated from "reformed Egyptian" into English with help of magic stones. The final product was the Book of Mormon.21 Sun Myung Moon, founder of the Unification Church, claims that Jesus appeared to him in a vision asking Moon to complete the work He began. Clearly this "Jesus" was not the Jesus of the Bible. The real Jesus "Finished" His Work! (Jn. 19:30). The Apostle Paul specifically warned us of such false messengers: "But though we, or an Angel from Heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed" (Gal. 1:8). Remember, though, Satan's "light" does not necessarily have to appear in angelic form. Even the simplest sensation of enlightenment could have come from an ungodly source. Not surprisingly, then, "light" is a cornerstone of New Age teaching as well.

NEW AGERS

New Agers, in fact, refer to themselves as "light-workers." Warren Smith, former New Ager and author of Deceived on Purpose, has described one particular experience he had with New Age "light." In his book, The Light That Was Dark, Smith explained what happened during one particular psychic reading: "It was toward the end of the reading that I first noticed the whirling sensation over my head. I tried to ignore it, but it wouldn't go away. It was a strange but not unpleasant feeling that seemed to flutter and vibrate and even tingle above me. I was startled when Bonnie picked up on it. 'Are you aware that there is a ball of light over your head?. . . You are being shown that you have a lot of help on the other side.'"22 A best-selling book of the '90s, "Embraced by the Light" by Betty J. Eadie, describes the good and loving feelings which often accompany mystical experiences with the "light."23 It is also important to note that New Agers consider this "light" their source of life as well as their god, hence, their frequent usage of the term, "God-Light" or "Life-Light." New Age Mystic Alice Bailey describes the "light" in this manner, "To this light the mystics testify, and it is this light into which they enter, and which enters into them, revealing the light which is latent and drawing it forth to potency. . . . This is the outstanding fact of scientific mysticism. God is light. . . ."24 On the slopes of Mt. Shasta California, Guy Ballard, leader of the "I Am" cult, encountered a spirit guide known as the ascended master, St.Germain. Ballard says this spirit mentor gave him a "liquid-light" to drink explaining that the liquid was as pure as life itself, coming directly from the "universal supply."25

ANOTHER JESUS

Neale Donald Walsch, New Age author of Conversations with God, describes his encounter with "god" as "some invisible force" which caused his hand to write on its own. This phenomenon is actually an occult channeling practice known as "automatic handwriting," where one yields his mind to a demonic voice. Of course, Scripture completely forbids any such practice, but Walsch unfortunately did not heed the warning, thus believing the voice he heard was God. "He was amazed when 'God' immediately answered his letter by speaking to him through an inner voice. That night, and in subsequent conversations, Walsch wrote down all of the dictated answers to his questions."26 Even more disturbing is that one year after the events of September 11th, 2001, Walsch published another book, The New Revelations, which directly attacked the Saving Power of Jesus. Walsch's "god" put Salvation into the hands of man. "Walsch explained that 'God' was proposing a post-September 11th 'PEACE Plan' that would help to bring the world's widely varying religions and belief systems closer together. . . Walsch's 'god' warned: 'Yet let me make something clear. The era of the Single Savior is over. What is needed now is joint action, combined effort, collective co-creation.'"27 Marianne Williamson, another well-recognized New Ager largely promoted by Oprah Winfrey, wrote a book entitled Reflections on Love. Williamson's book was based on A Course In Miracles by Helen Schucman, an Associate professor of Medical Psychology at Columbia University. Schucman had also experienced "god" through an inner voice, and this voice actually claimed to be Jesus! Schucman began, "receiving channeled messages from a speaker who would later identify himself as Jesus Christ. The messages began with the words, 'Please take notes,' this is not optional. So Helen Schucman, an atheist Jewish psychologist, began writing and for the next ten years the voice is said to have dictated 'in an inaudible voice' over 500,000 words contained in the three volumes." And apparently the "Jesus" of "The Course" was not impressed with Christianity; in fact, it was his mission to change it completely. "The primary reason for the Course is the 'Correcting of the errors of Christianity. . . . To foster spiritual development through the study and practice of, A Course In Miracles, a set of three books channeled by Jesus . . . to teach the Course's reinterpretation of traditional Christian principles such as sin, suffering, forgiveness, Atonement, and the meaning of the Crucifixion. . . ."28 Another prominent New Age teacher, Barbara Marx Hubbard, experienced the "light" in an intense vision she said occurred while she was in a dreamlike state. ". . . she could see the earth and its people were now surrounded by a radiant light. She watched as the whole planet was 'aligned' in 'a magnetic field of love' and lifted up by the brilliant light. Widespread healings took place as individuals experienced the merging of their own 'inner light' with the bright light that was surrounding them. A tremendous force emanating from the light sent powerful currents of joyful energy 'rippling' through the body of humanity. The world celebrated as all the Earth was born again." And, unfortunately, Hubbard also came to believe that this "light" was Christ giving her an alternative to the Armageddon scenario found in Biblical prophecy. ". . . in 1979, she had a revelation that the presence in her 1966 vision had been 'Christ' . . . Hubbard's 'Christ' teaches that the violent Armageddon script described in the Bible does not have to happen, that it is only a 'possible' future, emphasizing that a more 'positive' future can and will manifest when humanity-without exception-openly declares its 'oneness' with him and all creation."29 This is an outright attack on Christianity; there is no alternative to God's Word. All of it has come to pass and will continue to come to pass. "Think not that I am come to destroy the Law, or the Prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till Heaven and Earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the Law, till all be fulfilled" (Mat. 5:17-18). And furthermore, it is the antichrist who Daniel identifies as having a false plan of peace. ". . . he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many" (Dan. 8:25).

NEW AGE LIGHT

These occult and completely anti-Christian dealings with New Age "light" are attacking the modern Church from the inside as well. For instance, one particular form of so-called Christian counseling developed by Dr. Ed Smith is termed "Theophostic" counseling and/or "Theophosic Prayer Ministry." Smith created the word, "Theophostic" from two Greek words - "Theos," meaning "God" and "Phos" meaning "light." Similar to the psychological models of "inner healing," Theophostic Counseling claims to heal one of harmful memories by bringing "light" directly into the memory.30 Another "pastor" bringing New Age "light" into the church (and whose writings have been endorsed by Rick Warren) is Leonard Sweet. He has stated, "A surprisingly central feature of all the world's religions is the language of light in communicating the divine and symbolizing the union of the human with the divine: Muhammad's light-filled cave, Moses' burning bush, Paul's blinding light, Fox's 'inner light,' Krishna's Lord of Light, Bohme's light-filled cobbler shop, Plotinus' fire experiences, Bodhisattvas with the flow of Kundalini's fire erupting from their fontanelles, and so on." He also acknowledges New Agers for helping him find the "New Light" which he actually believes to have enhanced his Christianity: "I have followed those 'New Light leaders' . . . [S]ome of those who led [me] into new light are: . . . Matthew Fox, Richard Mouw, Rowan Williams. . . . "31 In The Destiny of the Nations, Alice Bailey even defined the New Age concept of Christmas: ". . . Spiritually the Christmas season is about the light, the promise of the Divine, and the birth of the Christ Consciousness in the human heart inaugurating an era of right human relations. This energy remains ever with us, 'The Christ in you, the hope of glory' . . . During the 2000 years since Pisces has seen the spreading of the light. Aquarius will see the rising of the light with Christ as the eternal symbol of both these great impulses. Humanity will move from the birth stages of the light within to the lifting of the life light in sacrifice, as we become the Risen Ones. . . ."32

A FALSE BIBLE

The New Age Mess "Bible" has also taken every opportunity to distort any Biblical reference to light, rewording it to fit New Age doctrines. We will not attempt to print all the Scriptures from "The Mess" Bible pertaining to this, but here are a couple of examples.

Psalms 8:5
King James Version:
For Thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Message Version:
Yet we've so narrowly missed being gods, bright with Eden's dawn light.
Psalms 27:1
King James Version:
The LORD is my Light and my Salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the Strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Message Version:
Light, space, zest - that's God. So, with him on my side I'm fearless, afraid of no one and nothing.

It is important to note, as well, that many pagan religions worship a "sun-god" and believe his "rays of light" to be the life-giving source for the Earth and its inhabitants. The ancient Babylonian sun-god cult has actually infiltrated nearly all false religions to this day. Islam has an interesting twist to this story. "Allah," the god of Islam, is said to be the moon-god who was married to the sun-goddess. The symbol of the crescent moon is prominent in Muslim culture.

Acts 2:28
King James Version:
Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; Thou shalt make me full of joy with Thy countenance. Message Version:
You've got my feet on the life-path, with your face shining sun-joy all around.
Acts 26:23
King James Version:
That Christ should suffer, and that He should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles. Message Version:
One, the Messiah must die; two, raised from the dead, he would be the first rays of God's daylight shining on people far and near, people both godless and God-fearing.

In the next few examples we see the use of the term "golden circle." Circles have always been an integral part of paganism and witchcraft and thus, the New Age as well. The circle has been used as a symbol of the universe, to enforce the appearance of demons, and to symbolize phallic sun-god worship in freemasonry. Also, rather than making Christ the "Head" as the Bible teaches, the New Age tends to refer to Him as the "center" of something, like a circle. 33

Revelation 2:1
King James Version:
Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith He that holdeth the seven stars in His right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks. Message Version:
Write this to Ephesus, to the Angel of the church. The One with Seven Stars in his right-fist grip, striding through the golden seven-lights' circle, speaks.
Revelation 2:5
King James Version:
Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. Message Version:
Do you have any idea how far you've fallen? A Lucifer fall! Turn back! Recover your dear early love. No time to waste, for I'm well on my way to removing your light from the golden circle.

Exploring and Investigating Jalan Kampong Chantek

Upon the team arrival to the area. We parked our vehicle on the side road. The house clearly visible, dimly lit by the streets lights. Signs of broken fences all along the stretch of the abandon property. Definitely we are not the first. I wonder how many other adventure seekers had explored the house before us. Nevertheless as we crossed the fence and headed towards the house. The atmosphere and air totally took a turn. The air became still and cold. You could smell the distinguish smell of humus on the ground. The weird things were we were only less then a 50m away from where we were standing a few minutes ago. It was really spooky.

The area around the Rifle Range road and its legends bears a lot of memories for many local army drivers. It was said to be the place where 'the lady in white' have been spotted on many occasion. Doing their jobs and taking the normal route, many army drivers have been down to and fro on the road as there is an army camp situated nearby. Many urban legends are associated with the surrounding area more then any rumour and folk lore due to the many eye witnesses account and various people we met that had one or few encounters on several occasion within the area. What makes the place so sinister? Is the lady in white a lost soul or is she desperately trying to call for help, perhaps that explains the regularity of he sightings.

As the team further discuss on possible theories and explanation, they have arrived at their investigation scene for the night.

Is 2012 Really the End of the World?

Maybe just the end of the world as we know it. No, the world is not going to implode or explode or be completely destroyed in any form for that matter. 2012 is a new beginning, not an end.

There has been so much said about all this, from the bible, from Nostradamus, from Edgar Cayce, from the Mayans. In 2012 we will truly be able to experience heaven on earth. For some, this has already started. We are already feeling these changes. There are many people on this earth who have Ascended from the 3D reality to the 5th Dimension reality already. The Earth herself has ascended from 3D to 5D. In 5D time and space are different, they do not exist in the same way as they do in 3D. This is why so many people are having experiences outside what the "norm" has been the past few thousand years.

Some people think the financial meltdowns etc. are really bad news. It is just a change, different things going on, it doesn't have to be bad news. Everything is perception. A lot of people are being forced to change the way they have been thinking, or the way they have been doing things. So much of the world's issues right now are related to the old 3D ways crumbling. It is a new beginning, not an ending.

Jesus (or whatever Ascended Master you relate to based on your religion or lack thereof), IS coming. It is the Christ Consciousness in us all. Jesus "the man" is not going to just show up one day to save us. Its not quite like that. The consciousness of Jesus will show up for us all as soon as we realize that we have access to it. It is your own greatness, your own Christ Consciousness that will save you. Your realization that you are God. We ourselves are the second coming.

What makes things so hard is the separation from the divine light and love of all that is. For many years people have turned to religion, or leaders that tell us that things are outside of ourselves. Those in perceived power don't want us to know that the power of EVERYTHING is within us. We are all one.

The talk of hellfire and hell coming to earth for those that do not accept Jesus into their lives is true in some ways, but not in the literal sense that some organized religions would have you believe. It has to do with those that accept they are the creators themselves. Those that can see and feel their own greatness will truly be creating a heaven on earth for themselves and those around them.

Those that rely on (or "worship"), things from the 3D reality -- money and ego and external power -- truly will be in a hell on earth. Earth and her energy is changing, has already changed. We, as a species, are learning that we can create whatever we want here. It has very little to do with ego and power. There are many on the earth right now who are here to help with this transition. Many lightworkers who are ascending and "getting it" are here to help you. Many are actually devoting their lives to helping others remember where they came from and what divine beings they are. The first wave of Ascension is over. There are many Masters on this plane of our planet right now. Willing to help you to realize you don't have to stay stuck in 3D any more. Many people think Jesus is a saviour, as in separate from you, that will come and rescue you from your life, your existence, yourself, your perceived sins. God is not going to "make people go to hell". What kind of loving God would actually make people go to hell? If all one does is worship money, control or power they WILL likely end up in their own hell. This will be their own doing (or undoing) though. It will not be something that is done TO them.

Look at how things are right now. The world financial crisis is HUGE. Anyone who is very centred in, or worships, money or power at this point in time is RIGHT NOW in their own personal HELL. God certainly isn't putting them there. It is their perception of their time on earth that is putting them there.

Those that are suffering right now just need to look inside themselves, at the Christ Consciousness, at the God in THEM. Hanging onto the old 3D reality and the worship of external things like money or power or ego is what is causing them suffering. The always wanting more is causing suffering. There is enough on this earth for everyone. Some say they don't believe that...I've had people tell me to my face that I'm full of you know what just for suggesting such a thing.

The reality of it though....at least MY reality of it is that there is enough for all. If we take the greed, the control, the lusting for external power away, there is enough.

All through the bible it states that God is in all of us. Therefore, Love is in all of us.

Religions made the devil up to scare the heck out of people. There were, and still are, those that do not want you to know your own greatness. They don't want you to know what they know. If everyone knew, there would be balance. No one would be better than, or richer than. Everyone would just "Be".

Religions say the devil "fell from grace" because he wanted to be God-like. What better way to make people shun their own greatness, their own connection with God. Scare the crap out of them so that when they start to realize their own greatness, and that they are not just a "part of Source (God)", but that they are indeed Source (God) themselves, the creators of their own lives and spiritual journeys, they get afraid and experience more separation. As soon as people realize their greatness, no one will be able to control them. That is very scary for those that think they have the power over the masses.

We are all God-like. We are all creators, God is Love, we are all a part of God. This scares a lot of people and there are certain governments and religions that don't want people to know this, so they make up stuff like the devil or demons to scare people. They don't want the general population to realize their power, they would lose their own place in society; in the 3D reality they have created for themselves. Imagine if everyone knew just how much like God we are, how much a part of God we are.....no one could control us anymore. No one would have the power to "make" us fearful. God is Love.....the "devil" is fear.

So, is 2012 the end of the world? I certainly hope it is the end of the world as we have known it up to this point.

Do not fear the changes, embrace them. Connect with Source in your own way. Find and connect with your own internal Christ Consciousness, your own greatness.

When things are done with Love and not fear, nothing but God and Love can shine through.

There are many things going on. Being a psychic lightworker myself (for lack of a better term), I know that what I see and do, anyone can see and do. The biggest challenge is to KNOW that you can do it. It is just a matter of being open to it and having the realization that we are all Source.

Remember where you came from, remember your divinity. Connect with your own Christ Consciousness. Experience the bliss every day, feel the love every day. Live with Love not Fear of what is going on on our earth. Its all good...

Your Blissful Life - Your Definition

The beauty of your blissful life is the simple fact that it is all yours! You, and only you, define exactly what it means to you, in every part of your life. There have never been two individuals wanting exactly the same thing in every part of their lives. While they may share some common desires, they will have unique meanings for their respective blissful lives. Just as each of us are a unique beautiful people, so is our definition of our blissful life! As you execute the process of defining your blissful life, you are creating a work of art that is all you. Your work of art is you in all your beauty and glory.

How can each of us have such a unique definition for the same object of our desires? Let me explain;

As I discussed in earlier articles, we are all made up of many components or parts. Recall also that all of these aspects or parts are unique to each and every one of us. It is because of this that we all place different values on our various parts. l place a certain value or importance on my professional career while you place a completely different value or importance on yours. You may place greater importance on your relationship with your friends (your friends part) as opposed to your professional career. Everyone you know such as your significant other, mother, father, and siblings, acquaintances etc. will all place various parts higher or lower on their importance scale when compared to yours.

The importance that we each place on our various parts uniquely defines not only who we are and how we act; it also uniquely defines your blissful life. The reason that you are currently reading this article is you, for some reason, feel a need to redefine, re-rank, resolve a conflict within or between your parts, or to define new parts and integrate them into yourself. This is your unique definition. This is how you identify, compare, and take action on a daily basis, in every moment. Everything you do is driven to satisfy and achieve the definition you have for your parts which, when combined, define yourself as a person.

After completing my this and my next two articles, you will have identified all of your parts, ranked them in order of importance to yourself and your life, and what you want your blissful life to look, sound, and feel like to you.

For me, your blissful life means a balance between my parts that allowed me to assist others in achieving their goals while providing a satisfactory standard of living. It also means that I have the freedom and permission from myself to continue to grow and discover more about myself and the world I live in, no matter what! To me this means that there are no silly or ridiculous ideas or paths. I have given myself permission to explore all of them, no matter where they might lead. I have learned that in order for me to live my blissful life, I must be true to myself, my ideals, my thoughts, my intuition, and my feelings. When I do this, I can do anything, be anything, and discover anything I desire. When I am doing this and helping others enrich their lives that I am truly living my blissful life.

Take some time now to reflect;

Review your list of parts my previous article Your Blissful Life: The Struggle Within.

Review all of the parts you identified after reading the article.

Have you discovered any other parts? If so, note them here.

Creating A Habit

Pursuing God at Whose Expense - End of the World Believers

I know a husband and a wife who have been pursuing God with an unbelievable passion, but at the same time they're destroying their family and lifetime friendships. These people can no longer be reasoned with and will only send us information about the end of the world or their passionate religious beliefs. You're probably wondering if there are Hindus or Muslims, maybe they're Hare Krishna's or Buddhists, wrong they are hard-core fundamentalist Christians who don't understand fundamentalism.

Vince Lombardi, the legendary coach for the Green Bay Packers, told his football players, that he was going to start with the fundamentals of football and as he began to hold up a football, he simply made the statement "This Is a Football". I often think of that when having one-sided conversations with extreme religious fanatics. With Christians, I often feel like holding up the Bible and telling them "Let's Start with the Fundamentals, This Is the Holy Bible."

Do you think you would know if you are pursuing God at the expense of your family? How would you know the difference, if you're being supported by people within your religion. These people are constantly telling you, the things that you want to hear. That you're right and others are wrong, don't listen to the wicked or you will become one of them, or the infamous statement of conversion, we must do what we can, when we can to show others the way.

Here's where the problem starts to become a nightmare. These people can't tell the difference between belief and truth anymore. People can be made to believe, anything they choose to believe in. These people are great examples of the last statement. I still am in contact with this family but have watched the destruction from a distance. The children are no longer with the parents and are in foster care, part of the problem is their religious beliefs. A few days ago, we received a video in the mail on the end times. I couldn't make much sense out of this video and like some other Christian videos that I have seen, yet creates fear and biblical prophecy from ordinary daily events.

You can look back through history and the end of the world has been just around the corner for almost 2500 years. People have been preaching the doom and gloom for centuries. I pulled a verse out of the Bible and if you could make sense out of it, I would love to hear how.

Daniel 12:1 The End Times 1 "At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people-everyone whose name is found written in the book-will be delivered.

It looks like we will know when it's coming, because it states that nothing like it has happened yet. When I read this statement, it doesn't make crystal clear sense and is quite vague. Maybe I'll write another article on how many ways this one verse can be interpreted.
